On Thanksgiving Day

Woke up early and went to Pasar Besar Tmn Tun (Tmn Tun Big Market) for an errand. Long time since I went to the market. Remembered those times when I had to go there every weekend to buy a weeks ration. Now I have my maid to buy them LoL. Although the market wasn't as busy as on weekends, there are still quite a number of people at the market doing their shopping things (probably did not have time to go to the market during weekends in preparation for New Years Day). Surprisingly most of the stalls were open on eve. Things in the market are supposed to be cheap but actually there are stalls that are not cheap. So remember to check the price properly before buying anything (don't assume it is cheap before checking other stalls).

Have you seen such big orange as big as my palm?

This Soya bean stall rocks and is still surviving till today

After finishing my errands, I went for BREAKFAST at Devis Corner. This stall is like your average "mamak" stall but the difference that makes this "mamak" better than most, is that it has superb customer service, it is very hygienic (provides good atmosphere) and the food there is up to standards. If you are wondering what is mamak stall, in Malaysia, the word mamak actually refers to Indian Muslims, who generally own or operate them. Mamak stalls are popular spots among the Malaysian youths as hang out spots, due to cheap food and beverages being served as well as being open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Besides that, it has big LCD screens which are favorite spots for people to watch football and hangout together with their friends.

Had lunch at home and went out with my dad to CIMB bank to redeem the gift points from CIMB bank.

Normally on New Year's Eve my family and I will spend some family time together watching fireworks display at specific places in KL or The Curve. This year we decided to go to church for Thanksgiving day. I can't remember the last time I went to church on New Year's Eve. If not mistaken it was 4 years ago =p Thanksgiving day at church was awesome. I managed to meet my cell group members and wish them Happy New Year. Each performance was done by other language services for example the Tamil service, Chinese service and many more.

Bro Ang Chui Lai gave a good sermon. He talked about 5 ideals that we Christians should remember to practice which are 1) Humility/Humble 2) Gentleness with one another 3) Walk in Wisdom 4) Peace with things 5) Long suffering in love and patient. Be humble, be gentle to things around even though things can be rough, remember to walk in wisdom and find peace even though things isn't going your way. Let not your heart be troubled. Lastly, remember to love regardless of how difficult or suffering it may be and be patient.

Finally I would like to wish everybody a BLESSED NEW YEAR !!
